Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), KIIT Deemed to be University organized Journal Club Presentation (JCP) on 29th January 2022 on virtual platform. The Journal Club Presentation is a gathering of scholars to discuss and summarize scientific papers from a research journal. The chosen papers are presented by the participants.
The session was conducted by the JCP Coordinator, Mrs. Soumya Sonalika, Assistant Professor, KINS under the guidance of Professor Dr. Niyati Das, Principal and Mrs. Kalyani Rath, Vice-Principal, KINS. The first paper was presented by Ms. Tongbram Rabina Devi, M.Sc. Nursing 2nd year student from Child Health Nursing Specialty on “Is foot reflexology effective in reducing colic symptoms in infants : A randomized placebo-controlled trial”.
The second presentation was done by Ms. Rashmita Sahu, M.Sc. Nursing 2nd year student from Child Health Nursing Specialty on “The impact of three different distraction techniques on the pain and anxiety levels of children during venipuncture : A clinical trial”. The last presenter, Ms. Sramana De, M.Sc. Nursing 2nd year student of Community Health Nursing Specialty presented a study on “The influence of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) on stress, anxiety and depression due to unwanted pregnancy : A randomized clinical trial”. The scientific papers were chosen from reputed journals. The presenters also explained the strength and weakness of the study. Mr. Asokan R, Professor, KINS offered his views after the presentation.
The program was attended by the faculty members and postgraduate nursing students of KINS.
