KINS Observes World Health Day “To keep the body in good health is a duty, for otherwise we shall not be able to trim the lamp of wisdom and keep our mind strong and clear.”

Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) observed the World Health Day-2022 with a webinar, panel discussion, street play, plantation and other events on 7th April 2022. The events were organized by the Department of Community Health Nursing, KINS.

Dr. Sandhya Gupta, Health Consultant Lifestyle Coach (USA) & Former Principal, College of Nursing, AIIMS New Delhi deliberated on the topic ‘Vision & Voices of a Healthy Planet’. She played a discerning video related to the impact of water in our lives and environment. Dr. Jaya Chakraborty, Professor, PG College of Nursing, Bhilai spoke on the topic “Global Health Emergencies: Role of Health Care Professionals”.

Students of M.Sc (N) 1st year and 2nd year from Community Health Nursing Specialization participated in a panel discussion on the theme, ‘Our Planet, Our Theme’, while B.Sc Nursing 2nd year students performed a street play.

Faculty members and NSS Unit also participated in a plantation drive with important contributions from Ms. Daini Sunita, Tutor, KINS & NSS Coordinator. Prof. (Mrs.) Kalyani Rath, Vice Principal, KINS and Prof. Dr. Anasuya Pattanayak, HOD, Dept of Community Health Nursing also spoke on the occasion. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Soumya Sonalika, Asst Prof., KINS.
