NSS Wings of Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) organized an awareness program on the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day on 24th March 2022. The program was conducted by NSS volunteers of KINS under the mentorship and guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Niyati Das, Principal (I/C), KINS, Ms. Daini Sunita and Ms. Anita Panigrahi, NSS Programme Officers at Harekrushna Basti and Panda Basti on 23rd March 2022.
The volunteers took out a rally from Harekrushna Basti to Panda Basti followed by a Nukkad Natak on “Awareness on Prevention of Tuberculosis”. They created awareness among people about TB & its causes, signs and symptoms, and educated people on vaccination and prevention of TB. Food packets were also distributed among people. It was a pleasant experience for NSS volunteers to interact with people in the community. The program was conducted with the cooperation of senior faculty members, Mrs. Trupti Rekha Swain, Mrs. Sanjukta Dixit & Mrs. Prativa Ray.
