The Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) organised a guest lecture talk series on ‘Development of E-Resources on SWAYAM Portal’ on December 19 as part of the nationwide initiative to develop online educational resources. The development comes as KIIT-DU is now reckoned a global player in the internationalization of education through digital resources.
The welcome address was given by the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Niyati Das, following which the guest speaker, Dr. Shikta Singh, Asso. Prof. KSOM delivered the talk on this pertinent topic with her vast array of experience & expertise to sensitize our faculties and motivate our faculties.
She spoke in detail about the stages of development, and the nuances associated with developing such content with her anecdotal experiences of creating such resources on SWAYAM.
She highlighted our faculties about the importance of indulging in such nation-building activities to contribute to the branding & ranking of our university. On behalf of our University Dr. Shikta also oriented the faculties of a digital platform being created by KIIT University called KIITEX and how we could contribute and benefit from such opportunities.
Digitization of the Indian education system is happening at a rapid pace which is not just complying with NEP 2020 but also democratizing the power of knowledge irrespective of any social or geographical differences, thereby impacting the lives and careers of crores of students nationally as well as globally.
