2nd National Conclave on Viksit Bharat @ 2047

The KIIT School of Economics and Commerce (KSEC) and KIIT-IQAC organized the Second National Conclave on “Viksit Bharat @ 2047” on March 22, 2025. The theme of the conclave was “Mission LiFE – Driving Sustainable Development through Individual and Collective Action.” The event brought together distinguished guests and eminent academicians.

The inaugural session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Saranjit Singh, Vice-Chancellor of KIIT-DU, who delivered an insightful address on the role of sustainability in India’s development journey. Prof. (Dr.) Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar of KIIT-DU, emphasized the importance of fostering collective action for a sustainable future, while Dr. Sukanta Chandra Swain, Dean of Research at KSEC, highlighted the significance of Mission LiFE.

Dr. Siddharth Swarup Rautaray, Dean of KIIT-IQAC and coordinator of the conclave, played a pivotal role in organizing the event. A key highlight was the release of two edited books: Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Driving Sustainable Development Through Individual and Collective Action and Viksit Bharat @ 2047: LiFE Style for Environment.

A special tribute was paid to the late Dr. Akshaya Bandhu Pattanaik, recognizing his invaluable contributions. His family was felicitated in honor of his exceptional legacy in engineering, research, and public service, which continues to inspire future generations.

The conclave was successfully coordinated by Dr. Smrutirekha Mohanty and Dr. Ananya Mitra. With the active participation of research scholars, faculty members, industry professionals, and policymakers, the event proved to be highly engaging and impactful.
