Dr. Bidu Bhusan Dash, Assistant Professor & Course Coordinator, School of Mass Communication (KSMC), KIIT Deemed to be University was invited as a panelist to speak on Agricultural Journalism in the Knowledge Series organized by Agzistence, a digital ecosystem that brings together all stakeholders to address the interlinked challenges of the food value chain, climate change and skill gaps through unique learning and consultancy programme, on 21st January 2022.
Prof. K. G. Suresh, Vice-Chancellor, Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh and Prof. Shivendra Kashyap, Dean, College of Agriculture, G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand were two other panelists to discuss the Role of Agricultural Journalism and Use of Technology for Knowledge Dissemination for Next Generation Farming.
Dr. Dash congratulated Agzistence for organizing an interdisciplinary knowledge series and thanked its director for putting Agricultural Journalism as the first session. He appealed to promote Agricultural Journalism in both J-School and Agricultural Universities in the country.
Dr. Bijayashree Satpathy, Founder & Director, Agzistence moderated the discussion, in which more than 100 participants across the country and abroad actively participated. Students of KIIT School of Rural Management participated and interacted with the panelists too. At the end of the panel discussion, Dr. Satpathy proposed a vote of thanks.
