KIIT Law School (KLS) organised a Farewell Ceremony for the 2016-2021 and LLM batches on 13th August 2021. The farewell was a token of love towards the seniors from the 2017 batch. The event was graced by Prof. Dr. Bhabani Prasad Panda, Director, KLS, who motivated the graduating students and wished them good luck for their future endeavours. Prof. Dr. Prafulla Chandra Mishra, Dean and Prof. Dr. Pradip Kumar Sarkar, Senior faculty member also wish the graduating students good luck. On the occasion, tribute was paid to Late Prof. Dr. R. K. Nanda with a short video, poem by Areeb Ahsaan and moment of silence.
The talented singers and musicians of Korale Music Society entertained everyone with their soulful performances which was guided by Prof. Yogesh Mishra, Faculty Co-ordinator of the Society. The LLM batch was congratulated for their utmost dedication and perseverance in pursuing and completing their higher studies. This was followed by a dance and funny skit performances by Junks Society and Kalandhika Society, which was guided by Prof. Manisha Manaswini. Anshuman Mukherjee, a final year student, presented a short poetic video.
A 5-minute video describing the 5-year journey of the 2016 batch was also screened with a poem written by Pratyush Mishra, a final year student. Sushree Dash, Arindam Mahaptra, Deyasini Chakraborthy, Areeb Ahsaan, Ishaan Micheal, Swetalin Lenka, Pratyush Mishra, and Abhisekh Rath were involved in compiling and editing the video presentation. Following the performances, the seniors shared their experiences, memories and thoughts in a session named e-Khatti.
Prof. Chinmayee Nanda coordinated the event along with other members of faculty, Prof. Lipsa Dash, Prof. Maneesha Mishra, Dr. Sreya Chatterjee, Dr. Deblina Majumdar, Prof. Rituparna De, Dr. Sanghamitra Pattnaik, Dr. Arpita Mitra and Dr. Paromita Chattoraj. Final year students, Swetalin Lenka and Pratyush Mishra were the hosts of the evening.
