KIIT Law School Hosts Kolkata Chapter Alumni Meet 2026

KIIT Law School successfully organised its Alumni Meet Kolkata Chapter 2026 on 10th January 2026 at the IIT Kharagpur Research Park, bringing together nearly 60 alumni from diverse professional backgrounds. The meet served as a meaningful platform to reconnect, reflect on shared journeys, and reinforce the enduring bond between the institution and its alumni community.

The event was graced by Professor Dr. Raju K. D., Pro-Vice Chancellor, KIIT Deemed to be University, who highlighted the steady institutional growth of KIIT Law School and emphasized the pivotal role alumni play in shaping the university’s legacy. He underlined the importance of sustained alumni engagement in mentoring, research collaboration, and institutional outreach.

Dr. Sudipta De Sarkar, Dean (Industry Engagements, Student Affairs & Admissions), spoke on strengthening industry–academia linkages through alumni participation. Emphasis was laid on mentoring, professional interfacing, and convergence of collective efforts to take the alumni–institution relationship forward, while Dr. Shreya Chatterjee, Associate Dean (Doctoral Programme), underscored the significance of a strong and enduring alumni network as a pillar of academic and institutional growth. Reflecting fondly on her association with KIIT School of Law since its formative years, she recalled her close engagement with the first and second batches of the institution and the collective journey of growth, learning, and resilience.

Dr. Sambhabi Patnaik and Mr. Shashank Nande, Coordinator, Alumni Relations Committee, elaborated on structured alumni engagement initiatives such as mentorship and career guidance programmes, alumni–student interactions, and future collaborative endeavours.

Alumni representing varied domains including litigation, corporate law, public policy, entrepreneurship, academia, and public sector undertakings shared their experiences and reaffirmed their commitment to contribute to the growth of their alma mater.

The Kolkata Chapter Alumni Meet concluded on a warm and nostalgic note, reaffirming the shared vision of “growing together” and strengthening the lifelong association between KIIT School of Law and its alumni fraternity.
