Faculty Development Programme 2021 Concludes at KIIT School of Law

The School of Law Faculty Development Programme, conducted from the 21st of June, 2021, under the theme “Exploring Self: A New Paradigm in Education”, came to an end with the Session conducted on Day 5 of the Programme on the 25th of June, 2021.

The day’s proceedings commenced with an interaction with Prof.(Dr.) Gouri Shankar Tripathy, Eminent Physicist and Professor of Physics at Berhampur University, Odisha. Prof. Tripathy emphasized on the novelty of the teaching profession and the importance of a teacher in a society. He referred to the life history of several stalwarts of Indian legal practice and education, and highlighted the true power of knowledge through his own experiences and case studies.

The other highlight of the day was a dynamic presentation of collaborative teaching by Prof.(Dr.) Bhabani Prasad Panda, Director, School of Law, and Prof.(Dr.) Paromita Chattoraj, Associate Dean (Academics), wherein they conducted a demonstration class showcasing a structured discussion involving two resource persons and all the participants, which was widely appreciated as a new learning experience by all the participants.

The other sessions of the day consisted of presentations on various topics by Prof. Anirudh Chowdhury, Prof. Kumarjeeb Pegu, Prof. Sarvesh Sahi, Prof. Amrit Subhadarshi, and Prof. Jinia Kundu, all faculties of the School of Law.

The FDP concluded with an address by Prof. (Dr.) Panda wherein he thanked the Founder and the University Leadership for their guidance, the Organizing Committee members, participants, external resource persons, and support staff, for their contribution in making the Programme an unique experience and a grand success. Prof. Panda also laid down the Roadmap for the School of Law FDP for 2022, and shared his vision of continuing the learning process in the days ahead.

The Programme had an integrated feedback and response collection system, which was collected from all the participants at the close of the Programme. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive of the unique developmental approach conceptualized and implemented by the University and the School of Law for the FDP 2021. All the participants were unanimous in their opinion that the learning experience from the School of Law FDP 2021 was excellent. The participants also shared their views and suggestions on the individual themes and activities, all of which were recorded for reference.
