A guest talk was organized by KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM) on 23rd July 2021 for the students of MBA (Agribusiness Management) under the Agribusiness Leader’s Talk Series.
The speaker, Mr. Rakesh Bisht, Business Head, Brandsat Willowood for India highlighted growth drivers for the agriculture sector in India. He shared about the Integrated Product Portfolio Management (IIPM) that a company must employ to ensure market efficiency. He also spoke about the trade network filter process including Willowood’s mantra, i.e. SAMBHAV approach. This approach connotes right decisions taken in context of sales, actual collection, market share, product/market development, inventory management, average collection days and mutual business value that creates a win-win situation for both company and its dealers. He also talked about the unparalleled importance of mobile apps in this digital era rendering smart solutions to the smart farmers. Mr. Bisht emphasized the significance of branding and packaging in the success of the product portfolio for a company.
Mr. Bisht comes with a rich experience in the agribusiness sector having worked as Marketing & Business Development Manager at Lanxess for South Asia, Senior Manager at Reliance Retail Ltd and Regional Manager at Dhanuka Agritech Ltd. He is an MBA graduate from IMT Ghaziabad and has done his Bachelors in Agriculture from Govind Ballabh Pant Krishi Evam Praudyogik Vishwavidyalaya.
