The KIIT Polytechnic, ranked no 1 in Odisha, will soon be modelled after the world-famous Nanyang Polytechnic of Singapore. Disclosing this during the 29th foundation day celebration of KIIT Polytechnic here on Sunday, the Founder of KIIT and KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta said the staff of the polytechnic will visit Singapore to acquire modern knowledge and skills.
KIIT Polytechnic has been ranked as the best polytechnic in Odisha for the second time in a row this year among both public and private polytechnics in the state by Quality Council of India (QCI)’s National Accreditation Board for Education and Training (NABET). Students from the institute are also represented consistently in large numbers in the merit list of the State Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training.
Applauding the institute’s principal Prof. Tanmay Mohanty, faculties and staff for the achievements, Dr. Samanta said the polytechnic’s new campus will be upgraded with state-of-art facilities. The industry visit and industry relationship initiatives will also be strengthened, he added. On the occasion, the Founder also inaugurated a new conference hall.
KIIT and KISS Secretary R. N. Dash said KIIT Polytechnic has always maintained the quality of its teaching and has remained the foremost polytechnic in Odisha because of the determination and hard work of the teachers under the guidance of the Founder.
