The Department of Psychology, (erstwhile a part of School of Social, Financial & Human Sciences) completed one NLP Certification program on 24th May, 2023. The internationally acclaimed trainer Dr. A. Abrham facilitated this training with the co trainers being the faculty members from Psychology Department of KSFH, Dr. Sayed Firoj Alli and Prof. Kalyani Biswal. The training was organized from 15 – 24th May, 2013. The training was concluded with a presentation in the form of skit by the trainees/psychology students who attended the training program and distribution of certificates/books. The concluding session was attended by the Director, KSFH, Prof. (Dr.) Jayant K. Parida and he emphasized on the importance of NLP in everyday life. Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is a unique psycho-modelling approach that involves analyzing strategies used by successful individuals and applying them to reach a personal goal. Therefore, it’s the study of what works and replicating this whenever desired. Proponents of NLP assume all human action has positive intentions for the person who delivers the action. Therefore, if a plan does not work or the unexpected happens, then rather than calling it good or bad, what NLP proposes is to investigate the useful information and the structure of the experience.
