KIIT NSS School of Electronics Engineering Celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas

The volunteers of NSS, KIIT School of Electronics Engineering, ‘Project Lakshya’, held a virtual meet to remember the sacrifices made by every soldier on the occasion of the 22nd Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July 2021. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Suprava Patnaik, Dean of the School of Electronics Engineering, Dr. Samaresh Mishra, Director of Student Affairs and Dr. Kajal Parashar, Program Coordinator, KIIT NSS Bureau, who shared their views regarding the importance of the day. A minute’s silence was observed to show respect to all the lost souls during the war.

The esteemed panel of guests, Air Vice Marshal Pranay Kumar Hrideyesh Sinha (Retd.), Col. Sudip Khasnavis (Retd.) and Captain Amulya Kumar Singh (Retd.) shared their experiences and motivated the volunteers. An open mic session was also held on the occasion, in which volunteers spoke about the importance of the day. It was a wonderful event as the volunteers got to know a lot about the day and its significance for our nation.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Sruti S. Singh, Program Officer, NSS Electronics. The volunteers of the NSS Project Lakshya of KIIT School of Electronics Engineering extended heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS; Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Pro-Vice Chancellor; and Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT-DU for their constant support and encouragement.
