A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between KIIT School of Public Health (KSPH), KIIT-DU and the Faculty of Public Health of Mahidol University, Thailand on 27th September 2023 to extend the academic and research collaboration in the South East Asia Region.
On behalf of KIIT-DU, Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Vice Chancellor and Prof. Bhuputra Panda, Director, KSPH signed the MoU, while Prof. Dr. Sarawut Thepanondh, Dean, Mahidol University, Faculty of Public Health and Prof. Dr. Orawan Kaewboonchoo, Deputy Dean, International Relations Office represented Mahidol University. Dr. Manas Ranjan Behera, Associate Professor of KSPH, Chenchira Nathathong and other officials were present on the occasion.
Emphasizing the opportunity for student exchange, faculty exchange, joint organizing of international workshops and research activities, Prof. Panda said this collaboration will benefit both India and Thailand in terms of strengthening collaborative research and education. Prof. Sarawut Thepanondh highlighted the need for generation of context-specific evidence that would benefit the common people of both countries. Students of MPH and PhD Scholars of the School of Public Health will greatly benefit from this MoU.
