The KIIT School of Public Health (KSPH) organized ‘Khwahish’, the Freshers’ Day event, on 5th October 2023. The day was filled with celebration, excitement, and a warm welcome for the 2023-25 batch of students into the KSPH, KIIT family.
The event was graced by Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice-Chancellor, KIIT-DU; Prof. J. R. Mohanty, Registrar; and Prof. Bhuputra Panda, Director, KSPH, among other dignitaries. Prof. Singh emphasized the critical role of public health in the country and shared his expectations for the School. He assured unwavering support to help the School attain new heights. The Registrar shared valuable insights on the School’s progress and offered encouraging advice to the newly admitted students. Prof. Panda highlighted KSPH’s journey and the wealth of experience within the faculty, underlining how their expertise in research and teaching in public health will guide students in shaping their careers.
The program welcomed about 45 newly admitted master students (MPH and MHA). The event concluded with a spectacular cultural program showcasing dance performances, a ramp walk, song performances, and Mr. & Ms. Freshers competition, featuring students from both batches.
