A Mega Blood Donation Camp was organized at School of Social, Financial and Human Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University on 12th January 2024 on the special occasion of National Youth Day. The Programme was inaugurated by the Registrar of the KIIT DU, Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty accompanied by several dignitaries including KSFH Director- Prof Jayanta Kumar Parida; Youth Affairs Officer- Ajit Kushwaha; Prof. P.T. Chaudhary(KSFH); Program Coordinator of KIIT NSS Bureau- Prof. Kajal Parashar; and NSS Coordinator of KSFH- Dr. Smruti Ranjan Das.
The event commenced from 10 AM till 2 PM. The camp was fully supported by KIMS. Expert doctors and nurses joined the camp and it was under the supervision of KIMS doctors, while the blood was collected from the people. Prof Surekha Sundari Swain (Director, Extension Service) was the first donor of the day. Over 105 units of blood were collected in this blood donation camp. Teaching and non-teaching staff, students, volunteers and other people joined the program. At the end, certificates were provided to the donors from KIMS.
