KIIT-DU Inks MoU with ASCI

The School of Social, Financial, and Human Sciences (KSFH), under KIIT Deemed to be University, signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 2nd February 2024 with the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, to facilitate and strengthen collaboration in consulting, research, and capacity-building activities. The key focus areas include monitoring and evaluation of public welfare programs, trade facilitation of MSMEs, governance of labor migration, sustainable natural resource management and rural livelihoods, social and financial inclusion, as well as public policy and governance. ASCI, established in 1956 as an autonomous, public-purpose institute, jointly by the Government of India and industry representatives, is dedicated to capacity building in the field of Civil Services development.

At the MoU signing ceremony, Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice-Chancellor, KIIT-DU, expressed gratitude to Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS, for his visionary leadership that paved the way for this groundbreaking collaboration between ASCI and KIIT. Prof. Nirmalya Bagchi, Director General (I/C) of ASCI, who represented ASCI, emphasized that the KIIT-ASCI collaboration aims not only to reap mutual organizational benefits but also to work for the larger social cause.

Prof. Deepak Kumar Behera, Vice-Chancellor of KISS-DU, and Dr. Om Pal Singh, Registrar of ASCI, also spoke at the event, which began with the welcome address by Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar of KIIT-DU. The event was attended by the Directors and Deans of different schools. Prof. Jayanta Kumar Parida, Director, KSFH, proposed the vote of thanks. The MoU signing ceremony was coordinated by Dr. Saswat Kishore Mishra, Associate Professor, KSFH.
