A webinar titled “Study in France” was organized by KIIT Student Activity Centre (KSAC) in association with Consulate General of France in Kolkata on 21st February 2021 for the students of KIIT. The Resource Person for the webinar was Mr. Amitava Das, Charge De Cooperation UniversitaireetScientifique, Consulate General de France a Calcutta.
The main objective of the webinar was highlighting the higher education opportunities in France and the role of the Consulate in facilitating the process through “Campus France”. Mr. Das mentioned that “Campus France” is a Government agency that operates under the Ministry of External Affairs which helps students select Universities through personal counseling, designing study plans, conducting workshops and taking care of VISA and other documents after selection. On 1st May 2018, the agreement between France and India for the mutual recognition of Academic Qualifications came into force. He took through the different types of Schools and Universities available for pursuing higher education and student benefits. Mr. Das also elaborated on the steps to apply through Campus France and highlighted the Scholarships and Internship options available.
They are also coming up with a Virtual Tour “Choose France Tour” on 26th & 27th February 2021 where students can register Free at CFT.IFINDIA.IN and meet one to one with leading French Institutes.
There was an extensive Q&A session at the end with the students. Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Dy. Director Student Services, KIIT thanked Mr. Das for his elaborate presentation on higher education opportunities in France.
