KSAC Organizes ‘K-STAR’, a 72-hr Challenge 1st Year Students

K-STAR, the 72-Hour Challenge, was a unique event organized under the banner of ‘Kushal’ – The Student Engagement Programme by KIIT Student Activity Centre (KSAC) for the first time exclusively for 1st year UG and PG students of KIIT Deemed to be University from 25th – 27th December 2020. The results were declared recently with 11 students emerging victorious in as many categories of events.

Each category had a theme, which was disclosed to the participants at the start of the challenge. The registered participants were required to submit their entry within 72 hours. The challenge had different categories like Music, Dance, Acting, Writing (Poetry & Short Stories), Fashion, Snapshot, Painting, Short Film, Art & Craft and Design. More than 600 first year students registered and participated in the challenge. The entries were judged by the K-STAR Judges’ Panel, who selected 11 ‘K-STARS’ from different categories of the challenge. The winners will get prize money, gift vouchers, e-certificate and privileged membership in respective Student Societies.

Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Dy. Director, Student Services, KIIT congratulated the winners and thanked the student organizers and staff of KSAC, especially Mr. Aniruddha Roy, for initiating and successfully executing the event. He expressed gratitude to Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS; Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Pro Vice Chancellor and Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar for their guidance and support.
