KSAC & KIIT International Relations Office Organize International Students’ Cultural Podcast

An International Students’ Cultural Podcast was organized on 27th March 2021 by KIIT Student Activity Centre (KSAC) in association with KIIT International Relations Office. The podcast, which went LIVE from KSAC Facebook page, featured students from Sri Lanka, Syria, Afghanistan and Liberia.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Dy. Director, Student Services appreciated the concept of traditional cultural conglomeration of different countries and congratulated all performers for making the event happen. The first performance was a nice Kandyan dance by Sri Lankan students. This followed many beautiful dance and song performances by students of Syria, Afghanistan, Liberia as well as Sri Lanka. 

The podcast included three main dance performances (Udarata, Pahatharata and Sabaragamu traditions) and two singing performances from Sri Lankan students and one instrumental by Sherif Kaihan and Ahamad Omid Asil from Afghanistan. A mesmerizing instrumental performance was presented by Sally Saleh on behalf of Syria. Benjamin Itoka, a student from Liberia, spoke about the history and rich traditions of his motherland. 

The programme ended with the closing remarks by Ms. Pragyan Patnaik, Dy. Director, KIIT International Relations and Mr. Sidharth Roy.

Cultural Podcast
