The Foundation Day of Jharkhand State and Janjatiya Gourav Divas was celebrated at Raj Bhavan, Odisha, on 15th November, 2024. On this occasion, students and staff members of KIIT-DU and KISS-DU, who hail from Jharkhand, were invited by Raj Bhavan, Odisha, to participate in the celebration of their state’s Foundation Day as part of the Government of India’s ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ program. The event was presided over by the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha, Shri Raghubar Das.
‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ program aims to enhance interaction and promote mutual understanding between people of different states/UTs through the concept of state/UT pairing.
Dr. S.K.S. Parashar, Professor, School of Applied Sciences at KIIT-DU and three tribal students from KISS-DU, Mr. Mangal Munda, Miss Sarita Baskey and Miss Shruti Khalkho, natives of Jharkhand, delivered talks on the culture and heritage of their home state and about KIIT and KISS.
The Hon’ble Governor of Odisha was delighted to see a large number of students belonging to Jharkhand state getting education at KIIT & KISS and appreciated the magnificent work of Founder, KIIT & KISS, Dr. Achyuta Samanta. Students, faculty members and administrative staff from KIIT & KISS, greeted the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha on this occasion, followed by a group photo session.
