Logistics Training Programme Launched by 21CC Education at KISS-DU

A Logistics Training Programme by 21CC Education, a Mumbai-based e-learning and skilling platform, was launched at KISS Deemed to be University on 18th July 2022. The four-day training programme, being coordinated by the Training and Placement Cell of KISS-DU, will provide the Master Trainers (faculty members of KISS-DU) insights into the world of logistics, health and safety standards and practices, freight forwarding, cold chains, and warehouse management.

21CC Education was founded in 2019 and has offices in Mumbai, India, and The Hague, The Netherlands. Addressing the gathering virtually, Mr. Sanjay Tiwari, CEO, 21CC Education said that the main purpose behind establishing 21CC is to give the students the technical know-how and to conduct hand-holding activities for the trainers to ensure that the programme grows. “Along with the tailored curriculum, we have also planned sessions by guest speakers who would be interacting with the students and master trainers regularly”, he stated.

There are many verticals in the training programme which will open floodgates of employment opportunities for the indigenous students. Briefing about KISS-DU, Professor Deepak Kumar Behera, Vice-Chancellor said that skills are important to make one employable. The certificate programme offered by 21CC is highly beneficial and important for the faculty members who would become Master Trainers, he stated. Professor Behera concluded by saying that it is the brainchild of Shri Satya Sundar Tripathi, Chancellor.

In his opening remarks, Shri Tripathi appreciated the efforts of 21CC Education and said that it is at the forefront of purpose driven education. They are making education accessible to those who can’t afford, which is the prime objective of KISS and KISS-DU, he stated. Striking a comparison between past and present, he said that times have changed exponentially and skills have taken the driver’s seat and 21CC can bring in meaningful change in this regard.

Shri Tripathi spoke about the benefits of Logistics jobs for the students of KISS-DU and concluded by encouraging the trainers to internalise the importance of this Certificate Programme and to put their best foot forward during these four days of training on how to pass on the skills and learnings from the training to the students.

Ms. Kirti Talwar from 21CC Education presented a brief overview of the Programme. Explaining the needs of the industry, she added that organizations need a workforce that is dynamic and one has to keep skilling to move ahead. Adding to the presentation, Mr. Nikhil Karkal said “Skills are the new currency” and it is something which is going to drive the future. Underlining the need for such Programmes, he said that even if students have degrees, they still lack certain skills to fulfil the jobs, this is where 21CC can play an important role.

The Launching Ceremony was followed by a question-and-answer session. In his closing remarks, Dr. Prashanta Kumar Routray, Registrar, KISS-DU appreciated the training programme as interesting and innovative. “We have knowledge and potential. The training will make the students more confident and a feeling of I can do Everything will be instilled in them. 21CC is undertaking various activities that are being undertaken by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS”, added Dr. Routray.
