It was a moment of pride for KISS Deemed to be University (KISS-DU) when the volunteers and faculty of the University were honoured for their outstanding performance at the NSS Odia Asmita Sibit (NSS Cultural Fest) – 2024, held from November 30th to December 2nd, 2024, at the Utkal University of Culture, Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with the State NSS Cell, Department of Higher Education, Government of Odisha.
In a historic moment, two NSS volunteers from the NSS Bureau of KISS-DU have bagged three prizes in the fest. Mr. Ananta Angra (PG II, Performing Arts, School of Tribal Culture, Philosophy, Eco-spiritualism) and Ms. Kajal Naik (PG II, Sanskrit, School of Comparative Tribal Languages and Literatures) stood first in Group Folk Dance, and bagged second prize in Group Song. Mr. Ananta Angar bagged the third prize in Musical Instrument (solo). Dr. Parikshita Khatua, Programme Officer, NSS Bureau KISS-DU and Assistant Professor, School of Tribal Resource Management, KISS-DU was felicitated for his contributions. Around 200 NSS volunteers from various universities of Odisha participated in different competitions during the event.
