Education is necessary for bringing about steady development of tribal people, said Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS. He was addressing guardians’ representatives at the Annual KISS Guardians Meet-2021 held on 26th December 2021 abiding to Covid guidelines.
He remarked that Tribal people are considered as the pride of the society. Different schemes are being implemented by the State and Central Governments for their development. Over the years, thousands of KISS students have empowered themselves along with their families and also the society both socially and economically. Remarkably, KISS has been working relentlessly in this direction for the last 25 years, he added.
President of KISS Guardians Association, Ram Sabar; Secretary, Lambodar Singh; Padmashree Daitary Naik; CEO, KISS, Dr Prasanta Kumar Routray; Dy. CEO, Sri Pramod Kumar Patra; and Development Officer, Sri Basanta Kumar Behera were present at the meet, among others. Guardian representatives from different districts and blocks also attended.
On this occasion, Padmashree Daitary Naik was felicitated by Dr. Samanta. The participating guardians placed their views on “How KISS has brought a sea change in their lives and also empowered them”.
Dr. Samanta expressed his pleasure and wished the Guardians all the best for their attendance in the Guardians Meet, which was not organized physically for the last 2 years, following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, the teachers of KISS had been in touch with the students in imparting them online teaching during the 18 months period, when the students were staying at home. For this noble enedeavour, the guardians profusely praised the Founder, functionaries and teachers of KISS.
