The 75th Foundation Day of the Bharat Scouts and Guides was celebrated on 7th November 2024 with great enthusiasm and dedication at the national level. Rovers and Rangers from various colleges and institutions actively participated, making it a memorable occasion. The entire unit (all college units) held a walkathon, during which they distributed the stickers to the mass and others in their networks and across the nation, further amplifying the message of unity and service.
In Odisha, around 20 colleges joined in various activities organized at the state headquarters of the Bharat Scouts and Guides in Bhubaneswar. Among all participants, the KISS Rovers Rangers Unit stood out for their active involvement and commitment to the movement’s mission. They contributed significantly by sharing special Foundation Day stickers with others to spread messages of peace and the values espoused by the Bharat Scouts and Guides.
The KISS Rover Ranger Unit had the honour of meeting the Hon’ble Governor of Odisha Shri Raghubar Das and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Mohan Charan Majhi. The KISS Rovers Rangers were accompanied by Mrs. Anamika Das, Joint Secretary and State Organizing Commissioner of OSBSG, and Shri Mihir Ranjan Pattnaik, Joint Secretary and I/C State Organizing Commissioner of OSBSG. This moment was a source of pride and inspiration for all participants.
The celebrations included a series of competitions to showcase the diverse talents of Scouts and Guides from across the region. The KISS Rovers Rangers Unit proudly secured the third prize in the group dance competition.
