Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), KIIT Deemed to be University organized a webinar in association with Nursing Next Live, a unit of CBS Publisher and Distributors Pvt. Ltd., on the theme “Scientific paper writing and inculcating evidence-based teaching strategy in Nursing” on 29th September 2021. In her introductory address, Prof. (Mrs.) Niyati Das, Principal (I/C), KINS shed light on KIIT and KISS Deemed to be University and KINS and explained the importance of the webinar for the Nurses.
Speaking on the topic, Dr. Nancy Fernades, Principal, L.T. College of Nursing, SNDT Women University, Mumbai described various types of papers, reasons for writing scientific papers and the structure of the scientific paper. The session was moderated by Prof. Kalyani Rath, Vice-Principal (I/C), KINS. Dr. Rajani Peter, PhD, Research Coordinator, National Institute of Nutrition (ICMR) and Principal, AIIMS, Nagpur emphasized on evidence-based teaching strategies in nursing. She explained the trends affecting nursing education and innovative teaching methods.
The Chairperson of the webinar, Prof. Mrs. Amarita Lenka, KINS highlighted the significance of research in Nursing education. The session was anchored by Mrs. Swetarani Dalai, Tutor, KINS. There were approximately 700 participants from different parts of India on the virtual platform. Each session was followed by Question-answer discussion.
