Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), KIIT Deemed to be University organized Journal Club Presentation (JCP) on 12th February 2022 on virtual platform. The Journal Club Presentation is an educational meeting in which a group of professionals discuss published articles, to keep themselves abreast of new knowledge. It seeks to promote the awareness of current research findings as well as to impart skill to critique and appraise research.
The session was conducted by the JCP Coordinator, Mrs. Soumya Sonalika, Assistant Professor, KINS under the guidance of Professor Dr. Niyati Das, Principal, KINS and Mrs. Kalyani Rath, Vice-Principal. The first paper was presented by Mr. Debasis Pradhan, M.Sc. Nursing 2nd year student from Community Health Nursing Specialty on “Prevalence and Determinants of Internet Addiction among Indian Adolescents.”
The second presentation was done by Ms. Sivaji Ranjan Lenka, M.Sc. Nursing 2nd year student from Community Health Nursing Specialty on “Implementation of an educational module on nosocomial infection control measures: A RCT”.
The last presenter, Ms. Lipsa Priyadarsini Kuanar, M.Sc. a 2nd year student of Community Health Nursing Specialty presented a study on “Effect of Perceptual Stress Reduction Control Intervention on the Level of Symptoms in Breast Cancer of Different Time Points”. The scientific papers were chosen from reputed journals. The presenters also explained the strengths and weaknesses of the study. Mr. Asokan R, Professor, KINS offered his views after the presentation. The program was attended by the faculty members and postgraduate nursing students of KINS.
