Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS) organized the first talk under Alumni Talk Series on 8th July 2021. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. (Mrs.) Amarita Lenka, Principal, College of Nursing, KINS, who welcomed the alumni Ms. Kranti Meshram and Ms. Diptimayee Bhujabala. She expressed her gratitude to Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS for providing an excellent ambience to work.
In the 1st session, Ms. Kranti Meshram, currently working as a Band 5 Staff Nurse in John Radcliffe Hospital, Part of Oxford University Hospitals, NHS Trust Oxford, UK delivered the talk on “Come out from Your Comfort Zone ”. She drew the attention of the students towards the importance of patience and hard work for growth and successful professional career. She also shared some valuable suggestions for the IELTS Exam and its scoring pattern. Ms. Kranti said, “You never change your life until you step out of your comfort zone”. Motivating students to seek opportunities which provide multidimensional integrated knowledge to achieve a successful professional career, she told them to take guidance of TNAI, INC, ONC advertisement for applying for jobs in India and abroad. She encouraged the students with her valuable talk and wished them for a successful career.
In her talk on “Career Guidance”, Ms. Diptimayee Bhujabala, currently working as a Nursing Officer in AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, narrated her past journey in KINS & KIIT, how she was motivated by different faculties to pursue a successful career. She advised the students on the purpose of higher studies, job opportunities and how to prepare for different competitive Nursing Exams. The alumni talk was informative and interesting in all aspects. Students enthusiastically participated, interacted and enjoyed the session very much.
