KIMS Successfully Conducts 3rd Professional Part-II Exam

Overcoming the unprecedented challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, KIMS has successfully conducted the 3rd Professional Part-II MBBS Annual Theory Examination-2020 from 5th to 21st August 2020, adhering to all the precautions required in the pandemic situation.

As soon as the official permission was received from the National Medical Council, the Principal with the support of Deputy Registrar (GA) and all the concerned HODs and Faculty in the Departments of Medicine, Surgery, O & G and Paediatrics worked on the modalities of conducting the examination with strict precautionary measures relating to the pandemic situation.

Once the Interstate borders opened up, the decision on dates of the Examinations were finalized and intimated to the final MBBS 2015 admitted batch of students for them to make their travel reservations to Bhubaneswar, KIMS.

Hostel rooms were thoroughly sealed and sanitized in readiness to receive the students by maintaining strict precautions of social distancing, wearing of the masks and hand washing. They were asked to report well in advance of dates of examination to fulfill the mandatory 14 days quarantine period within which each one was subjected to COVID-19 testing. The lecture theatres were used for examination to maintain strict social distancing. Masks and sanitizers were provided to both staff and students during the Examination.

The Theory examinations were completed successfully in the subject of Medicine, Surgery, O & G and Pediatrics on 21st August, 2020. The Practical and Viva-Voce examinations were scheduled on August 24th-28th 2020.
