KIMS Observes World Kidney Day

Scientific seminar and road show marked the observance of World Kidney Day at Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) on 10th March 2022. World Kidney Day is observed on 2nd Thursday of March every year throughout the globe. The occasion is observed to make people aware of the importance of the kidney, to reduce the frequency of kidney diseases, and its impact and economic burden.

About 300 students of KIMS participated in a road show with placards for conveying messages to people about Kidney Diseases. Prof. Dr. Suresh Dash, Dr. Aswini Prasad Patnak, Dr. Nikunja Kishore Rout, HOD Nephrology; Mr. Panchanan Parida, Management Representative; Mr. Dillip Panda, Director, Administration; Mr. Dilip Jena, DO and other senior staff members of KIMS participated in the morning rally.

Later, Prof. Dr. S. C. Dash and Dr. S. B. Rout discussed about Kidney Diseases and Kidney Transplantation at a scientific seminar. Dr. C. B. K. Mohanty, Pro-VC (KIMS); Major General Dr. P. K. Patnaik, DG, School of Medicine; Prof. Dr. Ambika Prasad  Mohanty, Principal, KIMS; Prof. Dr. R. C. Das, Medical Superintendent and other faculty members of KIMS attended the seminar.
