KIMS Medicine Department Organizes National CME

The PG Dept of Medicine, KIMS organized a National CME on ‘Snake Envenomation: Recent Advances and Current Perspective’. It was addressed by Prof. CBK Mohanty, Pro Vice Chancellor, School of Medicine, KIIT-DU; Major General Prof.(Dr.) P.K. Pattnaik, Director General, School of Medicine, KIMS; Brig Ambika Prasad Mohanty, Principal, KIMS; and Air Vice Marshall Prof. Ram Chandra Das, Medical Superintendent, KIMS.

The CME, held in hybrid mode, included sessions by eminent national faculties like Dr. Jaideep C. Menon, Senior Consultant, Cardiology, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences; Dr. Kartik Sunagar, Evolutionary Biologist, IISC Bangalore; and Prof. Biranchi Narayan Mohapatra, Professor of Medicine, KIMS, who spoke on the various aspects of Snake Envenomation including current areas of research and management of this significant public health issue. The CME concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Lalatendu Mohanty, Head of the Department, Medicine, KIMS.
