KIMS Faculty’s Social Innovation Gets CM’s Appreciation

Cardiac Anaesthesiologist of KIMS, Dr. Ashok Kumar Badamali’s social innovation ecosystem Sanjivani QCPR was selected by MSME Odisha and start-up Odisha secretariats for presentation and interaction with Shri Naveen Patnaik, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha during inauguration of O-Hub. The projected social impact of public training in CPR by QCPR KIOSK and improvement in quality of chest compression delivered through Sanjivani QCPR device for resuscitation of cardiac arrest victims were appreciated by the committee, who selected the innovations as a promising health-tech innovation amongst the 1200 startups of Odisha. Dr. Badamali informed that, in spite of pandemic, the 5T policy of Govt. of Odisha, the opportunities available at KIIT Deemed to be University, Fabrications facilities in KIIT-TBI along with supports from DST & NRDC helped him in taking the idea to MVP stage. The Chief Minister congratulated and thanked the team for the social innovation.
