An Odia literary book titled “Basnara Smruti” penned by Dr. Viyatprajna Acharya, Professor of Biochemistry, KIMS was unveiled by Brig. Prof. A. P. Mohanty, Principal, KIMS; Dr. S. C. Dash, Professor Emeritus; Dr. Yogesh K. Chawla, Chairman, Academics and Professor Emeritus; and Dr. S. Rath, Senior Professor, Obstetrics and Gynecology in the presence of faculties of different departments of KIMS on 19th May 2022.
Published by “Paschima Publications” in March 2022, the book is an anthology of short write-ups addressing psycho-societal problems, their root cause analysis and solutions. The author has done a wonderful visual story-telling and merged different emotions amalgamating strong satire, comedy to somber introspection. Introducing her book, she said, she has tried to bridge the gap of mistrust between doctors and patients in current times through her writings and addressed the scientific significance behind rituals and some myths.
Brig. Prof. A. P. Mohanty congratulated her and wished a grand success for the book.
