The Medical Council of India approved Curriculum Implementation Support Programme-2 (CISP-2) was successfully conducted by the Medical Education Unit of KIMS on 25th and 26th September, 2020. The members imparted training to 25 faculty members of KIMS to enable them implement the Competency-based Medical Education to the undergraduate MBBS students.
This programme was conducted under the able leadership of Major Gen. Prof. (Dr.) P. K. Pattnaik, Principal KIMS and coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) Basanta Behera and Prof. (Dr.) Jayanti Mishra, Coordinator and Joint Coordinator of MEU, KIMS respectively. Dr. Sudhir Panigrahi, Dr. K. P. Tripathy, Dr. Magna Manjareeka, Dr. J. P. Russell Ravan, Dr. Sibabrata Pattnaik, Dr. Basanti Pathi, Dr. Sudhir Panigrahi, Dr. Kumudini Panigrahi, Dr. Kavita Agarwal, Dr. Basanta Behera and Dr. Jayanti Mishra were among the trainers.
Members of MEU imparted the training efficiently. Prof. (Dr.) Srikanta Panda, Coordinator of SCBMCH Regional Training Centre was appointed by MCI as the observer. He observed the proceedings through an online platform. The event was well appreciated by the MCI observer. The programme was conducted by adhering to proper norms and social distancing.
