Dr. Ashok Kumar Badamali, cardiac anesthesiologist at KIMS, has achieved a significant milestone with the ‘Sanjivani QCPR’, India’s maiden CPR assist device integrating audio-visual feedback. This innovation has garnered SAMRIDH funding from the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MEITY), Government of India.
MEITY’s initiative, Sustainable Access to Markets and Resources for Innovative Delivery of Healthcare (SAMRIDH), aims to foster product innovation, growth, and development. Its primary focus is on enhancing accessibility to affordable and high-quality healthcare across India’s tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
Under this scheme, the MEITY has recognized the potential of the Sanjivani QCPR device to revolutionize healthcare accessibility. The KIIT-Technology Business Incubator will serve as the accelerator overseeing and monitoring the utilization of this funding.
Dr. Badamali’s innovation promises to significantly impact CPR practices, aligning with SAMRIDH’s overarching goal of ensuring widespread access to innovative healthcare solutions across diverse regions of the country.
