The KIIT School of Pharmacy (KSOP), Bhubaneswar celebrated the 64th National Pharmacy Week on 20th November 2025, with the theme “Pharmacists as Advocates of Vaccination”. The inaugural event brought together faculty members, students and guests, highlighting the vital role of pharmacists in public health and vaccine awareness.
The programme commenced with an opening address by Dr. Biswaranjan Behera, Principal, KIIT School of Pharmacy, emphasising the importance of rational pharmacy practice. The Chief Guest of the event, Dr. Manas Rajan Behera, Medical Superintendent, KIMS, and Chief Speaker Dr. Sonali Kar, HOD, Community Medicine, KIMS, focused their address on the role of pharmacists in child and adult vaccination advocacy and community pharmacy practices. The celebration generated an engaging academic environment, inspiring students to uphold professional ethics and contributing meaningfully to healthcare delivery.
The event strengthened KIIT School of Pharmacy’s commitment to nurturing competent, socially responsible pharmacy professionals while creating awareness about vaccination and safe medicine practice.
