KIDS Organizes Orientation Programme for 2021 MDS Batch

The Orientation Programme for 2021-admitted MDS batch students of Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS) was organised on 9th November 2021. The programme was graced by Prof. Dr. Aswini Kumar Kar, Principal, KIDS; Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Asst. Director (Admin.); Dr. Sruti Dev, other faculty members as well as guardians of newly-admitted MDS students. 

Addressing the students and guardians, Prof. Aswini Kar elaborated on the academics, extracurricular and in campus research facilities available at KIIT for building the career of each and every student. He advised them to be good human beings and follow the guiding path of respective seniors as well as the faculty members of KIDS. Prof. Shruti Dev urged students to utilize the facilities and opportunities at KIDS and KIIT and create knowledge by engaging themselves in research activities, innovative project works along with their respective MDS curriculum.

Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi shared the information regarding KIDS infrastructure as well as the internationalization activities of the KIIT-DU. He explained how KIDS practiced most of the proposals of Dental Council of India. He also informed the students that KIDS is comparable to any national and international dental institutes of repute with respect to academics, co-curricular activities, research, projects, consultancy, rank and recognition, and advised them to utilize all facilities available at KIDS and KIIT-DU for their professional career development. Dr. Pathi also enlightened the students and guardians about the philosophy of ‘Art of Giving’, propounded by Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS and how his life story has become a true source of inspiration for all of us. 

Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Singh, Faculty, KIDS, in his vote of thanks, highlighted the world-class facilities available at KIDS and KIIT for nurturing students for a successful academic and professional career through video presentations.
