Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS) installed one of the world’s most advanced and premier operating microscopes at its Department of Conservative and Endodontics.
A two-day intensive magnification master class by the stalwart of Endodontics in India, Prof. Dr. V. Gopikrishna, Root Canal Foundation, Chennai was conducted at the Department under the leadership of Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Asst. Director (Admin.) and Prof. Dr. Swadheena Patro, Professor, Department of Conservative & Endodontics, KIMS. The participants obtained hands-on exposure starting from the basics of Magnification such as Loupes for working under the dental operating microscope.
This included routine and specialized Endodontic procedures such as file retrieval, bypass and retreatments. The participants received one-on-one training in ergonomics related to dentistry. This was a one of a kind hands-on course where the participants worked on oral cavity simulated models under 7 Global and Leica Dental operating microscopes. The event was coordinated by Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Singh of KIDS.
