World Heart Day was celebrated by the Department of Cardiac Sciences on 29th September, 2019 at KIMS. The celebration was commenced with Walkathon inaugurated by Ollywood celebrity Partha Sarathi Roy and Puspa Panda in presence of Principal of KIMS Maj. Gen. (Dr.) P K Pattnaik and Organiser Dr. P. Sahoo, HOD, Cardiology of KIMS.
Later on, a Seminar and Public Awareness meet was conducted on the eve of World Health Day(WHD) which was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Harekrishna Satpathy, Vice Chancellor of KISS Deemed to be University; Prof. L. K. Meher, Principal, Bhima Bhoi Medical College, Bolangir and Prof. J. K. Panda from SCB Medical College as Guests of Honour and culminated with WHD Quiz Competition participated by UG and PG students of KIMS.
