Youth Red Cross KIIT volunteers, along with counsellors Dr. Chitralekha Jena, Prof. Ajit Kumar Pasayat, and Dr. Ramesh Chandra Sethi, organized a cancer awareness rally in collaboration with KIMS on 4th February 2024 on the occasion of World Cancer Day. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS flagged off the rally, which aimed to encourage regular check-ups, dispel myths, and advocate for vaccinations where applicable.
The rally started from KIMS Cancer Hospital, continued up to KIIT Square, and ended at the hospital premises. The guest doctors delivered informative speeches on the subject. Additionally, a street play was organized by KIMS students to share empowering stories of battling cancer. The KIMS Director also spoke on the occasion.
