Workshop on “Emerging Trends in Innovations in Mechanical Engineering (ETIME)

KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering,  Industry Engagement Cell (IEC)  and Training & Placement Department jointly organized a  Workshop on the theme “Emerging Trends in Innovations in Mechanical Engineering (ETIME): Challenges & Opportunities”.

The Workshop was addressed by Prof. S. Singh and conveyed by Prof. Chandrasekhar on the topic “ETIME”. Dr. Rashi Gupta also known as ‘The battery wali of India’ along with the proud alumnus of KIIT- School of Mechanical Engineering , Mr. Varinder Singh,  who was the Guest of Honour.

Dr. Rashi Gupta enlightened the students with the structure of battery running system, its application, usages and future prospects. Besides, she enabled the students to see the usage of lithium ion batteries and its storage’s specialty in the upcoming future prospects of India, followed by an active Q&A session among the students and Guests.

After the speech of Dr. Rashi Gupta, one of the alumni of KIIT, Mr. Varinder Singh elucidated the audience with the pros & cons of solar power usage in day to day life, its business feasibility and aspects in the upcoming era. Apart from that, he also provided with an idea of how a corporate unit works, its requirements and the way one must approach the placement scenario in his upcoming life.

Towards the end, a brief felicitation ceremony  was held where Dr. A.K. Sahoo, felicitated Dr. Rashi Gupta & Dr. I. Panigrahi felicitated Mr. Varinder Singh with mementos. Vote of  Thanks was extended by Prof. Dr. I. Panigrahi.
