KIIT Deemed to be University and the Vietnamese Embassy have collaborated to offer support to Vietnamese and Indian students to avail quality education. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen the ties was signed on 17th March 2021. The signing ceremony was hosted at the Vietnamese Embassy by the Ambassador, H.E. Pham Sanh Chau, which was attended by three delegates from KIIT’s International Relations Office, Mrs. Bandita Sahoo, Ms. Meenal Choubey and Ms. Mihika Roy.
Both KIIT and the Vietnamese Embassy have decided to work in cooperation for providing affordable quality educational opportunities to Vietnamese students to study in India at the KIIT campus and enhancing people-to-people collaboration between Vietnam and Odisha. KIIT has offered to support the Vietnamese students by offering special scholarships on the recommendation of the Vietnamese Embassy.
Delegates from many ASEAN countries also graced the occasion with their presence, and a special discussion was held on the topic, “Opportunities and Challenges in Promoting India as an Education Destination in ASEAN”. This event is meant to be a landmark event for opening the gateway for meaningful academic cooperation between India and the ASEAN countries.
