UPSC Chairman Visits KIIT & KISS

Prof. David R. Syiemlieh, Chairman, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) visited Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) and KIIT on August 31, 2017.

“I feel concious as I stand before you and It has never happened in my life before. Each one of you is unique, a special gift, and your leader Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS is a great visionary. I have never seen a person with so much simplicity and humility in my life”, he said, addressing 25000 tribal students of the institute.  Everybody should visit KISS rather visiting historical sites, said Prof. Syiemlieh

Students should establish themselves in society and adopt the qualities of Dr. Samanta, in serving the poor, deprived and underprivileged in the society, he urged. Earlier, Prof. Syiemlieh visited all campuses of KIIT and various units of KISS and interacted with the students.

Among others Mr. Niankoro Yeah Samake, Ambassador Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary, Republic of Mali and Mr. Philippe Le Gall, Ambassador of the Republic of Seychelles also spoke on the occasion. Dr. Samanta delivered welcome address, while Shri R. N. Dash, Secretary, KIIT & KISS proposed vote of thanks.
