The three day Entrepreneurship Summit(E-Summit) based on the theme “Insignia of Meridian” held at KIIT from 15th to 17th March, 2019, proved to be fruitful not just for the delegates but also for the dignitaries as they got a chance to interact with professionals and entrepreneurs of different backgrounds.
The Summit was from 15-17 March, 2019. The opening ceremony was graced by Mr. B. Sriram, Ex- Managing Director of IDBI and SBI; Mr. Arindam Sarkar of New Economy group, Axis Bank; Dr. Anil Bajpai, Director, KSOM; Prof. Kumar Mohanty, Director, Corporate RelationsandMr. Chandrahas Panigrahi, CMO, Acer. The delegates had a chance to attend enlightening conclaves and talk sessions which aided them in the process of learning and unlearning.
The Clash of Domains included discussion on scope of banking vs. that of crypto-currency. The respective stance were taken by Mr. B. Sriram and Mr. Opinder Preet Singh, Founder and CEO of KoinFox. It not just helped the audience in differentiating the two domains, but also helped them to gain a clearer perspective on the respective domains.
The Town hall sessions covered domains like Experiential Marketing by Mr. Akshay Gurnani (CEO of Schbang), Cyber Security by Mr. Trishneet Arora (Founder and CEO of TAC Security, listed on Forbes 30 Under 30), Application & Scope of AI by Mr. V.V. Subramanyam (Founder and Managing Director of Verzeo) and the political mandates on entrepreneurship by Mr. Prabhu Chawla (Chief Editor at The New Indian Express) proved to be equally valuable and interactive.
Games like Wolf of E-Street and Business Plan competition enthralled the audience with a contemporary experience. Rohit Thauson emerged as the winner of Wolf of E-Street while team Pizotech was declared the winner of B-Plan competition. The delegates conveyed the message that theworkshop on Machine Learning by Verzeo proved to be very beneficial. I-Camp Bootcamp, a session on resume building and how to crack an interview was taken up by Mr. Aaquib Hussein. It successfully prepared the students for the upcoming Internship Camp.
A light hearted session on entrepreneurship was taken on well by Mr. Joe Daniel Ramamurthy. An entertaining session by Abhinav Anand and Arun Kushvaha from TVF filled the auditorium with laughter and joy. One of the star sessions, Investors’ Meet and Pitching Session (IMPS)proved to be an eye-opener. Startups pitched their ideas and models which enabled to understand the demographic requirements of a startup.
The closing ceremony took place in the evening hours of 17th March. Chief Guest for the evening, Mr. Anil Bhasin, President of Havells India; Guest of Honour, Ms. Jayashree Mohanty, Co-founder and President of Luminous Infoways pvt. Ltd., Dr. Saranjit Singh, Director of Industry Engagement Cell and Prof. Kumar Mohanty, Director of Corporate Relations celebrated the spirit of entrepreneurship as well as the success of the summit. The delegates were left mesmerized with an experience that was worthwhile.
