Seminar on “Nursing Process” organized by KINS

Nursing process is a systematic approach and scientific framework encompassing the fundamental principles of critical thinking, client- centered approach, goal-oriented tasks and evidence based practice.

A two day seminar was organized by faculties of Kalinga Institute of Nursing Sciences on 31st July and 1st August, 2019. Prof. (Mrs.) Amarita Lenka, Principal, CON, KINS inaugurated the programme with lighting the lamp and addressed the gathering. Students of M.SC (N) 1ST yr, B.SC(N) 1ST yr., GNM 1st yr and faculties of KINS participated in this programme.

The 1st scientific session commenced with “Introduction to Nursing Process and Assessment” by Mrs. Nibedita Mohanty, Asst. Prof. KINS followed by 2nd scientific session on “Nursing Diagnosis” by Mrs. Minati Das, Asst. Prof. KINS. And the last session of 1st day was presented by Mrs, Jayashmin Mohanty,Tutor, KINS, on “Planning”.

On the 2nd day the 1st scientific session was dealt by Mr. Chandan Pradhan, Tutor, KINS on the topic “Implementation” of Nursing Process followed by 2nd session by Mrs. Sailabala Sahoo, Tutor, KINS on “Evaluation”. The feedback was taken from the students and also the students expressed that their knowledge was strengthened on application of Nursing Process in day to day clinical practice.  The seminar ended with Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Sasmita Nayak, Tutor, KINS.
