Seminar on “Application of Theories in Nursing Practice’’ organized by Faculties of KINS

Nursing Theory:  A creative and rigorous structuring of ideas that project a tentative, purposeful and systematic view of phenomenon.

One day seminar on the topic: “Application of Theories in Nursing Practice’’ was organized by Faculties of KINS on 25th April, 2019 at LT-4 KIMS.

The programme was inaugurated by Prof.(Mrs.) Amarita Lenka, Principal, CON, KINS, KIIT DU; Prof. Pramoda Ku. Nayak, Principal, SON, KINS, KIIT DU; Prof. Mrs. Niyati Das , Vice Principal , KINS, KIIT DU and other senior faculty members.

Mrs. Trupti Rekha Swain, Tutor delivered the welcome address to the audience and presented a brief overview  on  Nursing Theory.

Mr. Chandan Pradhan, Tutor delivered his talk regarding Bettyneuman Theory. He highlighted on client as an open system, the respond to stressors in the environment. Individual response to stress and the reaction to it.

Mrs. Pramila Baxla, Asst. Prof. discussed on Peplau’s Theory. She emphasized on the phases of interpersonal process, roles in nursing situation, methods for case study in  nursing using  interpersonal process and how to collect information of a client during admission in a hospital.

Mrs. S. Bhaktiswarupa, Tutor discussed about the Roy Adaptation Model. She emphasized on individual as a set of interrelated system. The individual strives to maintain a balance between the system and the outside world.

Finally the programme was concluded with Vote of Thanks by Mrs. Sailabala Sahoo, Tutor, KINS, KIIT Deemed to be University.
