KSCE successfully conducted online classes for both UG and PG courses

The COVID-19 pandemic has a serious impact on educational systems worldwide, leading to the near-total closures of schools, colleges and universities, which is impacting almost 70% of the world’s student population. Fortunately, with the enlightening direction of our Hon’ble Founder of KIIT, KISS & KIMS Dr. Achyuta Samanta, along with strong support from our Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Sasmita Samanta apart from wholehearted support of KIIT fraternity, KIIT School of Commerce & Economics (KSCE) successfully conducted online classes for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses, since beginning of the pandemic from March 2020 and completed the course on time.

In this ongoing situation of pandemic every educational institution must have to transform themselves and embrace both the traditional as well as online examination pattern for their students. Going one step ahead the School of Commerce and Economics conducted the Online End Semester (spring) Examinations from 19th of May 2020, which was attended by 95% of the intended candidates. Online examinations for both B.Com and M.Com are being conducted through online platforms which help students to go digital and it also supports our University Motto to save paper and Go Green.

At KSCE, we teach our students to deal with future challenges and uncertainties whether it is related to business or real life. As part of the curriculum we prepare them to be adaptive and respondent to the changing environment so that there will be no hindrance and constraints in order to achieve success and growth transition. As a result of which our students showed great enthusiasm by opting for online exams in large numbers by marginalizing the negative impact of the ongoing pandemic.

All the students were given formal training via online mock tests before appearing the final exam which started from 19th May, 2020. All the mentors and KIIT fraternity ensured that the students should be at ease to attend the exams smoothly without any problems. The online exam was monitored with the use of 3 online platforms so that all the problems from the students end can be attended on time. In this pandemic situation the students were properly attended by the mentors and virtually kept motivated by the young, energetic  and dynamic faculty members, headed by Prof.(Dr.) Jayanta Kumar Parida as the director of School of Commerce and Economics so that they can focus on their curriculum without any stress and impediment.
