A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today between KIIT Deemed to be University and Sulu State College, Philippines. Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Pro-Vice Chancellor, KIIT-DU and Dr. Charisma S. Ututalum, President, Sulu State College signed the agreement, beginning a new stage of collaboration. As per the MoU, both institutions will assist their respective faculty members in developing scholarly exchanges that include a range of interactions such as research collaboration, specialized lectures, seminars and teaching or submission of joint research proposals.
KIIT School of Applied Sciences has established a Science and Technology Innovation Research facility in association with faculty members from KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM) and KIIT School of Law (KSoL) and engaged in several academic, on-ground action research and outreach programs with Finland, UK, Belgium, Philippines and Bangladesh. About 100 students from different streams at UG and PG level from different countries are involved in a digital space, supported by extramural research funding agencies from Finnish Government and a few corporate houses.
The MoU signing ceremony was graced by representatives from the School and faculty members from both the institutions.
