KIIT School of Mass Communication Organizes ‘Welfare-2021’

The 2019 batch students of School of Mass Communication, KIIT Deemed to be University organized “Welfare 2021”, a combined event for the Welcome Ceremony of the Master of Communication and Journalism (Integrated) and Master of Communication and Journalism programmes of 2020 batch with the Farewell Ceremony of the Bachelor of Communication and Journalism 2021 graduating batch, on 8th August 2021.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Himansu Sekhar Khatua, CEO of School of Mass Communication, School of Fashion Technology, and School of Film & Media Sciences congratulated the students and encouraged them for their future endeavors. All the professors of the three batches including Ms. Ruby Nanda, Mr. Souptik Garai, Mr. Sudarshan Sahoo, Dr. V. R. Raju, Mr. Subhrangshu Mohanty, and Ms. Sunanda Mukherjee showered their blessings and wished them a great future ahead. Dr Bidu Bhusan Dash, Course Coordinator, KSMC also spoke on the occasion. The event was hosted by Ms. Priyanshi Tripathy, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Anurag Sahu, Assistant Professor, KSMC.

Ms. Debasmita Guha held the introductory session of the freshers’ batch wherein they described their reason behind pursuing mass communication. The introductory ceremony of Masters students was conducted by Ms. Aprajita Singhal. The graduating batch was introduced by Ms. Shreya Kundu and Ms. Anamika Jha wherein the students shared their journey and learning experience at KIIT-DU. Students of all the three batches participated in fun activities like Rapid Fire, Movie guessing etc. A short film prepared by the organizing team, on the journey of the graduating batch was also screened.

The teachers and students enjoyed the ceremony, thereby sharing their moments of togetherness. Mr. Rajnikant Baral, Administrative Officer and Mr Chandramani Sahoo were also present on the occasion. Ms. Pragyan Rai proposed the vote of thanks on behalf of the 2019 Batch.
