KIIT R&D Cell organised an expert Author Workshop titled “Elements of Scientific Publishing” on 2nd December, 2025. The session focused on “The Author’s Journey: From Manuscript to Publication” and was delivered by distinguished speaker Mr. Aninda Bose, Executive Editor, Springer Nature Group, London, UK.
Mr. Bose engaged the audience with valuable insights into the world of academic publishing. He highlighted the importance of publishing in promoting scholarly growth and global knowledge exchange. He explained the publication timeline in a clear manner, helping participants understand each stage – from preparing a manuscript to navigating peer review and reaching final publication.
A significant part of his talk focused on ethical practices in research and publication. He stressed the importance of proper structuring of research papers, the submission process, and the need to avoid plagiarism by maintaining high standards of integrity. Mr. Bose also introduced various publishing tools and modern platforms that assist authors in writing and submitting their work. Additionally, he spoke about authorship guidelines and shared details on available funding support for researchers.
The event was enriched by the presence of several dignitaries, highlighting KIIT’s commitment to promoting quality research and academic excellence. More than 200 research scholars and faculty members from various schools participated actively, making the workshop highly engaging and impactful. The event was coordinated by Dr. Amlana Panda, Assistant Registrar (R&D).
